Video interviews
We are very excited to announce the introduction of our new online video interviews service for select vacancies and candidates. Online video interviews enable you to register and "meet" us virtually from your own home or other location at a time convenient to you, including out of office hours. If you qualify for this service we will suggest it to you after reviewing your CV. If you are not offered a video interview but find it difficult to attend our offices (perhaps you are based outside of London) then please contact us for further details.
Technical requirements
Your computer should meet or exceed the following specifications:
Windows:
Pentium 4 (1Ghz or more) with 256MB of RAM, webcam and headset (or microphone and speakers), broadband connection (2mbps or faster), Windows XP, Vista or 7.
Apple:
Power Mac G5 (1GHz) or Intel Mac with 256MB of RAM, Mac-compatible webcam and headset, broadband connection (at least 2mbps), Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard (OSX 10.4 and up).
Web Browsers:
This website has been verified as operational in the following browsers: Internet Explorer 7, 8, Firefox 3.6, Safari 4, and Google Chrome 5. In each case Java should be installed if prompted.
Video interview tips for success
The same common sense rules apply to an online interview as they do to a real life one. Pay attention to your appearance and dress appropriately. Make sure you are in an environment where the interview can be conducted without interruption from other people, family pets, ringing telephones or doorbells. Prepare yourself by thinking about the kind of questions you might be asked and how you will respond. If you are applying for a specific role or to a particular firm, make sure you are familiar with them and can anticipate questions which demonstrate your knowledge.
How to participate
Login to the Online Video Interview Portal below using your email address and the pin previously supplied to you. If you do not have a pin number please contact team@karen-george.com to request one. Click 'Run' if you are presented with any warning messages about active content. Otherwise agree to any other dialogs, or download any required plugins such as Java. Once logged in, the video window might take a minute or two to load.
When the video window appears, type your name in the 'Enter your name' box and click 'Join Room'. If your consultant is not already in the video interview room they will join you within a few minutes.
